IBPS Meaning
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a body that was started with an aim to encourage the recruitment and placement of young candidates in pubic sector banks in India, except SBI (State Bank Of India)
Short History Of IBPS
- IBPS was started in year 1975.
- Firstly it was named PSS ( Personnel Selection Services).
- In 1985, It became independent identity.
- From 2011, IBPS starts conducting CWE ( Common Written Examination) for selection of candidates who are willing to work in Public Sector and Regional Sector banks all over India.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern
IBPS PO Exam takes place in 3 stages-
- Preliminary Exams,
- Mains Exams and,
- Interview
IBPS PO Preliminary Exam pattern
IBPS PO (Preliminary Exam) consists of 3 sections, in which objective questions are asked, which is conducted online,
time is 1 hour. In this exam 30 questions have to be solved from the English section, 35 questions from Quantitative Aptitude and 35 questions
from Reasoning.
IBPS PO Mains Exam pattern
The Mains Exam consists of 4 sections, candidates who passed Preliminary Exam, they give these exams, this is also conducted online,
the time limit of this exam is 3 hours.
In this exam, 45 questions are to be solved from Computer section, 35 questions from Data Analysis section, 40 questions from General Awareness and
35 questions from English language.
This exam also have (0.25) Negative Marking for each incorrect answer.

After successfully passing both of the above exams, the candidates are selected for interview, you have to fully prepared for the inteview, so that whatever the interviewer asks you,
you should able to answer it correctly and impress them, You have to remain absolutely polite in the interview, and you will be selected based on your abilites.

IBPS SO Exam takes place in 2 stages-
- Preliminary Exams and,

IBPS SO Preliminary Exam pattern
For Rajsabha Adhikari Scale I officer
It consists of 3 sections, in which objective questions are asked, which is conducted online,
time is 2 hours. In this exam 50 questions have to be solved from the Reasoning, 50 questions from English Language and 50 questions
from General Awarness. And (0.25) Negative marking for each incorrect answer.
For other Specialist Officers (Agriculture Field Officer, Marketing Officer (Scale I),
HR/Personnel Officeer, It Officer Scale I).
It consists of 3 sections, in which objective questions are asked, which is conducted online,
time is 2 hours. In this exam 50 questions have to be solved from the Reasoning, 50 questions from English Language and 50 questions
from Quantitative Aptitude. And (0.25) Negative marking for each incorrect answer.
IBPS SO Mains Exam pattern
For Rajbhasha Adhikari
It consists of 2 sections, in which 45 Objective questions are asked from Profession Knowledge of 60 Marks,
time limit is 30 minutes and 2 Descriptive questions from Profession Knowledge of 60 Marks,
time limit is 30 minutes, which is conducted online, total time is 1 hour. And has (0.25) Negative marking for each incorrect answer.
For Post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and
Marketing Officer
It consists of 1 section, in which 60 questions were asked from Profession Knowledge and total 60 Marks,
time limit is 45 minutes, which is also conducted online. And 0.25 negative marking for each incorrect answers.

IBPS Clerk Exam takes place in 2 stages-
- Preliminary Exams and,
- Mains Exams
IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam pattern
IBPS Clerk (Preliminary Exam) consists of 3 sections,in which objective questions are asked, which is conducted online,
time is 1 hour. In this exam 30 questions have to be solved from the English section, 35 questions from Numerical Ability Paper and 35 questions
from Reasoning.
IBPS Clerk Mains Exam pattern
time is 1 hour. In this exam 50 questions have to be solved from General Fiancial Awareness and time limit is 35 minutes,
50 questions from Resioning Ability And Computer Aptitude and time limit is 45 minutes,
50 questions from Quantitative Aptitude and time limit is 45 minutes and,
40 questions from General English and time limit is 35 minutes, and 0.25 negative marking for each incorrect answer.
